Load Space

Having so much space for tools and materials brings with it a great deal of responsibility. Thatʼs why the panel van is equipped with a full steel bulkhead [1] to shield the driver and front passenger from sliding loads and noise.

And the cargo can be secured by tensioning straps attached to load-securing rings fitted as standard on the load compartment floor. Options to secure cargo further include fixed securing rings or securing rings which can positioned at will along a rail fixed to the side walls.

In order to ensure the generous cargo space can be used to the maximum, two sliding side doors [2] and twin rear doors with an opening angle of up to 180 degrees provide unrestricted access to the load compartment.

Load Length & Bulkhead

Loading length can be easily extended

The optional, folding bulkhead provides greater loading length in the Mercedes-Benz Citan panel van.

In conjunction with the optional folding co-driver's seat [3], the loading length can be extended to up to 2886 mm. The backrest of the co-driver's seat provides a surface that is level with the cargo area.

Vans have to carry all sorts of things

The optional roof hatch offers a way of transporting longer items which do not entirely fit into the load compartment. Located in the roof above the rear doors, and made of hard plastic, the roof hatch offers more flexibility to an already versatile load compartment.

Doors

With their large opening angle, the front doors make getting in and out of the van easy. With two side sliding doors as standard [1] the Citan allows good access to the load compartment. The maximum opening of 638 cm provides comfortable and spacious loading and unloading even in narrow side streets.

Thanks to its wide opening angle, the twin rear doors makes loading and unloading the vehicle easier, particularly if you have bulky goods, such as a europallet. The doors lock initially at 90 degrees, but by unlatching the door stop, they can be opened wider, to 180 degrees.

Mercedes-Benz Citan can optionally be fitted with a tailgate with a wide opening angle [2]. The tailgate is opened from a door handle recess centred over the licence plate and can be opened upwards to an angle of 90 degrees. It is fitted with a window and washer system as standard.

Seats

The driver's seat can be modified to suit personal seating needs and preferences, with adjustments possible both lengthways and for height. Thanks to the different settings possible, a comfortable seating position while driving is assured for the driver.

Above all, the ergonomically-shaped backrest gives lateral support, and with it comfort and safety.
